My journey to Nainital (Uttarakhand)
Nainital is one of the most beautiful hill station in India.It is the popular hill station in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Nainital is situated about 2084 metres,it containing a pear-shaped lake and surrounded by mountains which the highest are Naina on the north 2615m.In the summer, the maximum temperature is 27-degree c and the minimum 7-degree c.The snowfall between in the month of December and February with the temperature between 15-degree c and the minimum temperature -3-degree c.In the year 2001, the Nainital had a population 38,000 approx, the male population is 55% and the female is 45%.It has a higher literacy rate of 91%.Nainital is one of the most beautiful tourist places in India.There are many tourist places in Nainital such as Nainital Lake, Naina Devi Temple, Governor's house, Snow View, Naina Peak, Tiffin Top, Eco Cave Gardens and so many places to visit.
It was a beautiful journey to Nainital with my Husband. My husband was called for an interview in Rudrapur. He was actually going alone for an interview. But suddenly he insisted me to pack my bag for new place to discover. I was happy for my journey and start planning for my journey. We started our journey from Delhi and reached Rudrapur early in the morning at 03:00am. Luckily there was a hotel in front of Rudrapur station and the station was extremely beautiful and clean.
Rudrapur Station:
After booking room in the hotel, we take rest in our room. At 06:00 am we took our bath, refresh ourselves and finally had our breakfast. Thereafter we reached bus Stand at 08:00 am to take our bus from Rudrapur to Nainital. The distance between Rudrapur and Nainital is 62kms and it takes maximum 2hours to reach the destination if you travel by road. Our bus reached Nainital lake at 10:00 am. We enjoyed boating there, beautiful view, amazing lake with clouds everywhere. We were at the top of the mountain and the scenery was incredible to watch. We enjoyed the Himalayan view.

How to reach Nainital:
1)By air: It is sad to know that being a hill station, there is no airport at Nainital. There are two airports near the Nainital, one is Pantnagar airport which lies at the distance of 65kms from Nainital, & the other one is Delhi airport well connected to different cities. You can reach Delhi airport with Domestic or International flight and you can hire a taxi or bus or train to reach Nainital which 290kms from Delhi airport.
2)By Bus: You can take Volvo bus from Delhi to reach Nainital or you can take the train from Delhi station and reach Rudrapur which only 60kms from Nainital and take a bus from Rudrapur to Nainital.
3)By taxi: You can hire taxi from Delhi airport to Nainital which will charge you around Rs5000.
